Talking to the SaaS companies that offer free trials.

An AI customer-support product was being pitched to SaaS companies in general, which gave nobody a specific reason to reply. Narrowing to companies running free trials tied the product to a specific buyer situation: trial users who need answers before they convert.

The situation

The client sells AI customer support to software companies. Broad SaaS targeting described a general problem, so the message read like every other support pitch and few people answered.

What we did

  • Narrowed the audience to SaaS companies offering free trials, on the reasoning that trial users need support before anyone has paid.
  • Mapped that trial-stage need to what the product does.
  • Referenced each company’s actual trial flow and support setup in the message, so it read as written for them.

What happened

The campaign dashboard shows 3,127 Contacted, 85 Replied and 50 Opportunities.

What it shows

A narrower audience with a live problem gave the product something specific to say.
