Targeting companies already paying for B2B leads.

The client needed to reach companies that already spend on B2B lead generation. Companies running LinkedIn ads were the signal. Executives and marketing practitioners got different messages, and the offer was revised as replies came in.

The situation

The client wanted buyers who already invest in B2B lead generation, so the message would land with people who understood the cost of a lead. There was no reliable way to see that spend from a standard company list.

What we did

  • Identified companies actively running LinkedIn ads and qualified them by size and industry.
  • Split the audience into two tracks: executive decision-makers and the marketing practitioners running the campaigns, each with its own message.
  • Tested the messaging and revised the lead magnets based on what each track answered.

What happened

The original case write-up reports 9,561 prospects contacted, a 2.7% reply rate and 146 opportunities.

One recipient, replying on June 9, 2025, agreed to continue and praised the personalisation.

What it shows

A visible spending signal made the audience specific before a word was written, and separating the two roles let each message speak to a different job. The reply on record is a small, real example of that landing.

Evidence

The campaign figures come from the original case write-up; no dashboard was published. The reply excerpt quoted on the wall of love, dated June 9, 2025, is from an outreach recipient, not the client.

Figures for this case are case-reported, from the original write-up, and are not shown as dashboard metrics.
