Finding the companies that already run outbound.

A data-enrichment platform was losing replies to broad targeting in a crowded market. Companies that own secondary outreach domains and staff SDR teams were already investing in outbound, so the campaign targeted them.

The situation

The client sells data enrichment into a market where every buyer already hears from several vendors. Generic targeting was producing declining responses because nothing in the message showed why this company, now.

What we did

  • Used secondary outreach domains as evidence that a company invests in outbound.
  • Combined that with the presence of an SDR team and the technology already in use.
  • Qualified on those three signals before writing a message, so the outreach only went to companies with a live outbound operation.

What happened

The campaign dashboard shows 72.3K Total sent, a 2.1% Reply rate and 226 Opportunities.

What it shows

Qualifying on behaviour, not on firmographics alone, put the message in front of companies already spending on outbound.
